Check out the Seymour Duncan Vise Grip! Capable of everything from barely-perceptible to full-on-lock-down, the Blend control is the cool feature that allows you to dial-in the perfect amount of compression. 18V operation allows for even more clean headroom, but the Vise Grip can do its thing at 9V as well. I really like the transparency, versatility, and intuitive-operation of this pedal; it does a lot but it’s easy to get what you want.
