- handrail, balusters, and spacer block
- wood plugs, used to patch holes in stair treads
- carpenter’s glue
- 80-grit abrasive sanding disk
- railing bolt, for connecting turn out to handrail
- 100-grit sandpaper
- painters tape
- 3-inch long screws
- 3/8-inch-diameter wood plugs, used to fill screw holes

- drill/driver
- bar clamps
- random-orbit sander
- miter saw
- self-locking pliers
- open-end wrench
