How to remove the jaws for a KURT MaxLock self-centering vise.



KURT MaxLock self-centering vises are for 5 axis machining. Available in two models: 2-1/2″ inch and 4″ inch jaw widths. Video shows how to remove and replace the jaws for a Maxlock vise.

MaxLock SCMX250 Self-centering 5-Axis Vise with adjustable center line. Features Kurt’s AngLock design which pulls the part down while the “Pull Type” feature decreases stationary deflection to hold parts securely. Clamp a part on either the I.D. or the O.D. The jaws are either 2-1/2 or 4 inches wide depending on the model. Taller jaws allow for increased spindle clearance. The vise has flexible mounting options and reversible jaws for greater machining capabilities.
