In this episode, we’ll cover 5 tips for setting up your own home jewelry studio bench. We have some low cost tips and alternatives.
1. Select a Studio Location – Keep your studio away from the kitchen or anywhere there’s food. Select an extra bedroom or a garage so it’s separated.
2. Selecting a Table – Be able to withstand hammer blows and harmful spills. Needs to be sturdy enough not to bounce around when hammering.
3. Table Height – You’ll ideally want a table that is about 40″ tall, which is about chest height when sitting.
5. Table Edge – Select a square blunt edges so that vices attach easily. No carvings, embellishments or overhangs.
6. Fire Safety Set-Up – Protect your table surface with a ceramic tile or use masonry bricks for extra security. Don’t forget to keep a fire extinguisher handy just in case.
Other Tips- Create your own table with solid wood doors and mount table legs to create a custom height. Also you can buy countertop footage and use L brackets to mount to the wall.
