A simple way to release a jammed/locked cordless drill chuck using a thin spanner

the chunk on my cordless drill would not release, despite trying a pair of pump wrenches, it still would not open until I realised that between the chuck alocking it in placend the body of the drill was a gap and a keyed shaft could be seen in the gap, sorting through my box of loose spanners from my many past purchases, I found a thin spanner [might be off of a 13mm router???] that would engage on the shaft holding in one place … a small amount of grunt in the “loosen” direction of the end of the chuck soon released it!!!!

n.b despite using pump wrenches on both bits of the chuck, the thing was refusing to open, all that was happening was the drill motor was being turned!
