Just another quick video showing how to change the rear brake shoes and brake wheel cylinder on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Z 71 Off Road Truck. I disconnected the parking brake cable at the wheel as you see in the video, but you can also disconnect the small section of the Parking Cable below the truck to give yourself more slack to make this connection at the brake lever easier.
There is a specialty tool made for these Single Spring type of brakes, but I was able to pry this spring back in using a screwdriver and long handled needle nose pliers.
Thanks for watching!
