Quick DIY video for ABS Sensor Removal on a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer.
Most other models and years, like the Envoy, Rainier, etc should be similar in this process, but may require other tools or part removal. Check your repair manual for specifics.
Dealing with anything electrical, always remove the Negative ( – ) Battery Cable before starting the project.
—–Tools needed—–
Negative Battery Cable:
8mm wrench or socket
Tire:
Flathead Screwdriver (pop off cap if you have one like mine)
3/4″ Socket + Breaker bar (1/2″ drive)
or Tire Iron with 3/4″ socket.
Brake Assembly:
3/8″ Drive Socket Wrench
17mm
18mm (possibly need to put the 18 on a breaker bar to get extra leverage to remove these 2 bolts)
ABS Sensor:
5mm Allen Wrench
Small Flathead Screwdriver (for popping clips out)
Pliers (for gently pulling bottom part of sensor out of wheel hub)
