Can you really get a fully functioning, reasonably durable anvil for just $15 dollars at Harbor Freight? Impossible! Well, not so fast, this little 15 pounder may just surprise you. Keep in mind this is not a professional grade, high quality, precision crafted family heirloom anivl… it’s FIFTEEN BUCKS!
But it’s a great little anvil for the price. Even so, don’t think it’s small size and low price-tag mean you’re getting something crappy and disposable… NOT AT ALL! This tool is well designed and built to last. I’ve put it through terrible abuse over the last few months I’ve blundered my way through learning the craft of forging steel. I’ve tortured this poor anvil in ways should never be allowed (true blacksmiths would wince just thinking about it), but it’s taken the abuse, and kept coming back for more.
