■Flexible using, long life and good tenacity.
■The screw tuning button can give the best clamp size easily.

For me this is a by-product catch of species i normally target so i release all Trumpet Fish i hook. I know you can fillet it (no bones) for pan fry but for me the action is what i’m out there for. They are EXTREMELY SLIMY to handle! I used a Okuma 7’9″ T-40X Light Steelhead Rod with a Shimano CI4 Stradic 3000 with 6lb Seaguar monofilament line. Leader is 8lb Sakura fluorocarbon. I make my own lures/flies using Landon Yamamoto’s Completely Hooked Lures 12hr extended glow grubs. My video is done by a Contour Roam#2 Action Cam on a headband mount. If you watch the ending of the first video clip you’ll see a rock crab run out of the water to “jump” on the Trumpet Fish.
Share & subscribe to Scuba Chris if you like my style of fishing. Please help support my educational videos:) Thanks for watching. Mahalo!
