    This is a trick for installing the clutch springs for husky chainsaws. Other springs on other clutches are likely easier, these are a pain. This is my 30 second trick for getting a clutch spring back in. The first “tooth” has to go on the far side of the clutch. then on the other side of the spring, tension the spring w/ your thumb while you work the needlenose pliers inbetween the clutch and the first tooth on the other side of the spring. rotate the needlenose pliers counterclockwise and the spring will tense and click in enough (hopefully) to hold…. then continue to work the spring in w/ the pliers. Be careful! springs under tension can hurt you! the clutch itself is sharp! best of luck and happy diying!
