How to Use the Dumb Key Force Tool Smart Key Lock | Penetration Expert Video
For further info and to purchase the Tool go to https://penetrationexpert.com/
The Dumb Key Force Tool will open Smart Key locks in seconds with minimal torque. Sometimes you may have to rock the tool back and forth and slowly applying torque.
Note: Do not use the Force Tool on locks that have malfunctioned, tail piece has fallen off or lock has been superglued.
Thank you for buying the Dumb Key Force Tool. In your kit is the hardened piece of tempered steel that is made specially for the Smart key lock and a blade of a Kwikset key blank that has been cut to a number 3 depth. Some people like number 4, however, I have had best luck with a number 3 depth. Put in the blank and then the Dumb Key Force tool into the lock and gently force it to turn. Some locks will require you to gently turn the lock back and forth.
I have used the tool on Grade 2 and a Grade 1 Smart Keys locks. The important part is you are putting just a Kwikset Key blank that has been cut down to a number 3 or 4 cut. Only use the tool on Smart Key locks. You can identify it by the slot at the left side of the plug / keyway. Insert the blade of the key into the lock then insert our Dumb / Smart key tool you don’t need a lot of turning pressure. I have opened Smart Key Locks with between 5.9 and 8.9 lbs of turnig pressure whether it is a Grade One or Grade Two. You can use a 3/8s nut with a racket, torque bar, Crescent wrench or vice grips. Again apply nice even pressure to the unlocked position and the lock bolt will unlock.
Once the bolt is back don’t keep on turning or it will cause the tailpiece to fall off and you are going to have to drill the set screws and remove the lock.
Again, just put the tool in it sets it nicely put on your racket on the 3/8s just nice even pressure and don’t over torque.
Using the Dumb Key Force Tool on a Grade One only required 8.9 lbs of torque.
If the you have a key and the key is turning round and round or 360 degrees, the Smart Key Dumb Key tool not not going to work because you already have it turning the tailpiece has fallen off or the bolt has been damaged it has malfunctioned. If you have any problems, drill out the two set screws, very easy to find and very easy to drill just have yourself one or two sharp 1/4″ drill bits. Some locksmiths like the smaller drill bits, I like the 1/4 inch. I just drill them out two screws and the locks with just fall out and you can open it with your screwdriver or if the bolt has totally malfunctioned you can just start tearing the bolt apart with easy access with the larger hole. I have ten different ways of opening these doors but the Force Tool is nice quick and easy.
