Learn how to rebuild a master cylinder from start to finish. Buy a new OEM master cylinder set: https://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-45530-471-831.html

If your brakes feel a little spongy, it might be time to put some work into your front brake master cylinder. In this video, John shows you how to bleed your front brakes, how to remove the front brake master cylinder from the handlebar of your ATV, and how to take apart the master cylinder – including how to use retaining ring pliers to remove that pesky circlip. He also shows you how to rebuild the master cylinder using new OEM parts and how to reinstall the master cylinder onto your handlebar. No special tools are required for this job, just a new front brake master cylinder kit and some patience.

We’re working with a 2007 Honda TRX ATV in this video, but these same steps can be used to access and rebuild the master cylinder on most Honda ATV models. If you’re not sure whether these steps apply to your ATV, leave a comment and we’ll get back to you.
