An easy way to terminate something in your panel without an allen wrench, using a rod coupling and a socket wrench.
Fitting of a front automatic locker into a GU Nissan Patrol.
I forgot to mention, the bearing caps in the carrier need to be torqued to 93-103 nM.
Sorry about the whispering, the mrs was asleep while recording
FAQ’s:
-My patrol doesn’t handle any differently on the street in 2wd after fitting.
-When turning (offroad), the locker will click as the teeth on the locker pass each other. This is normal. You can barely hear it on my car.
- The locker cost about AU$400. It was a ‘Spartan’ brand locker. Bang for buck its the best traction mod you can do aside from a good set of tyres. total cost was about AU$500 after buying oil, paper and liquid gaskets etc.
