Had five minutes between phone calls in my home office and set to a piece of wood with a small pocket knife. This is the result, a pair of wooden pliers carved from a single piece of wood in ten cuts. Had practiced this a few times but this time it came together nicely
In this final part I will be replacing the LF and RR calipers as well as doing a brake fluid flush/change. If I would have done this a few times since owning this vehicle, I believe my caliper pistons would not have been sticking.
Topics covered
– how to replace a brake caliper
– which direction should the brake squealers face
– how to do a brake system flush
– torque specs for caliper pins and guides
– how to bleed brakes
– how to remove the old fluid from the master cylinder
– why you should change your brake fluid
