Lisle Hose clamp tool review. I made this review a year and a half ago. I only post about 15-20% of what I film. This is because editing and uploading takes a long time. SO I’m uploading a bunch of old raw type stuff to get the info out there. Enjoy! This tool is about $85
Commercial key blank handles/grips for impressioning offered on the market today range from $50-$130 which is very pricey and If you don’t know if impressioning is for you or if you will be good at it, you do not need to spend the money buying a commercial product. You can simply make one yourself for FREE (or $1 if you do not have the set screws).
IMPORTANT: When pick what “material” to use for your handle, make sure you get something as WIDE as possible so it will have the most possible surface area to grip the bow of the blank. The wider the gripping part the stronger the hold and less ware on the tool.
Here is the list of tools need for this project:
1. Screw driver
2. Hacksaw
3. Bench Vise or Table Vise
4. Needle files or Dremel w. Cut of Wheel
5. Drill bit 9/24 and Tap 8-32 (8 is the size and 32 is threads per inch)
6. Set screws 8-32 or 4mm (Any length over 4mm long).
