We here in Operation Nehemiah urge you South Sudanese Christians to know your history and where you come from. If you do, the problems of civil unrest we are facing in South Sudan could have been avoided tremendously.
It was God Himself who has delivered us from the yoke of Islamic oppression. We must give him a place in our lives as individuals and as a nation. This must be reflected according to the history of our persecution as a church in the manner how we treat each other as brothers and sisters across tribal drives without coveting our neighbors properties.
On July 9, 2011, The world had seen a new nation emerging from the ashes of war and the horrors of genocide, through stunning miracles on the battlefield and at the peace table. South Sudan’s Christians stood against jihad, resisted the northern Islamic regime, and won our freedom.
South Sudan was a partial part of the Sudan ( ancient Ethiopia), one of the world’s first regions to hear the Gospel. Long before Islam came, Judeo-Christian Nubian was a thriving kingdom. An independent South Sudan, free in Christ, would be a modern, resurrected Nubia. The implications for the Gospel and true liberty are enormous. By halting the advance of jihadism, South Sudan not only remains free to Spread the Gospel, but keeps the heart of sub-Sahara Africa from Islamic jihad. This is the biggest vision for our country. We can’t be reduced to some tribal warlords and become a failed state like the Islamic Republic of Somalia.
The Islamic Jihads regime that fought us for hundreds of years going back to the destruction of Nubian Christian Kingdom from AD 700-1881 AD to the rise of Mahadist Islamic movement in 1881 -1898 and Muslim Brotherhood from 1955-2005 , did not care whether you were a Dinka or Nuer, a Madi or Acholi, Bari or Murle, a Catholic or AIC, or Anglican, CBC, Messianic, Seven Day, Baptist or Evangelical Free , we were all infidels. They wanted to kill us all and take the land from Malakal to Nimule from Yambio to Kapoeta from us and use it for propagating Islamic rule in the Nile valley.
This unprecedented situation in our country which is seemingly driving our beloved country to the brink of shame and self destruction underscores the daunting task we are facing in rebuilding this country from the ground up. The South Sudan is an infant country, born out of the ashes of Islamic persecution and genocide which claimed the lives of 2 million our people and displaced 4.5 million. Most died for their faith as Christians. South Sudan is standing on the edge of the UN driven new world order, with tribal conflicts pressing in on all sides. Her government must now decide either to serve as protector of its people in the fear of God, or destroy itself from within. We must love each other as Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Tribalism is not the problem of South Sudan. It is sin which is our problem facing our country. Tribalism is simply the symptom . SPLM/A is not the issue. President Kirr or Former Vice President, Dr. Rick Marcher along with their tribal divides as Dinka or Nuer is not the issue. The Bible says a people without a vision perish. The issue is sin in the heart of human beings and any one of us who is trying to fuel the flame into this diabolical situation is also bondage to sin. You don’t have to be a Dinka or Nuer to fall into this same trap. Without Christ, we are all children of wrath and we are doing the bidding for our father Satan who is the author of lies and destruction .
How I installed the Meprolight Tru Dot night sights on my Glock 19 with no vise, and no brass or vinyl punch. I actually should have flipped the slide over so that I would be installing the new sights left to right. Then maybe I wouldn’t have needed to sand them. Oops! As you can probably tell this was my first time doing this.
