A G-clamp can mark the wood that it is holding. The pressure of the G-clamp will mark soft wood. My simple trick can usually eliminate these marks occurring. Watch my video for all the details. It is frustrating when your wood comes out of the G-Clamp and it is marked. Then simply use an old bottle lid or cap to place between the G-Clamp and the wood. Usually there will be no mark.

I’ve got big fingers and thumbs and find holding and hammering small nails to be fiddly. I don’t want to hit my thumb with the hammer, so I use this trick to make hammering a breeze!!
