I bought some deerskin thinsulate driving gloves for cold weather driving. These gloves were marketed as motorcycling gloves, but they also work well for driving. I treated the leather with Vaseline, which helps make the leather waterproof. I have a video on how to fix leather with Vaseline. This treatment process makes the leather more waterproof, supple and long lasting. I then wipe off any excess Vaseline, and rub my hands in the snow for a little bit, until the leather is no longer slippery with Vaseline. These gloves are insulated, they are great for driving in a cold car while waiting for the engine to warm up so the car heating blows hot air at you instead of cold air. These gloves also double for an outside glove, because they are insulated with thinsualte. I tested these gloves in a car which had chilled to around -30 Celsius, and then I drove with them for around 10 minutes. They seemed to work just quite well.
