This process will also work for the 2.5L and 2.0 L engine as the valve cover design is the same. If you’re seeing a bit of oil seeping from around your valve cover or you’re finding oil around your spark plug threads it’s likely you have a worn out gasket. Luckily a new gasket should only cost $20 and requires no special tools to replace.
**This may also work on some Ford Ecoboost and Duratec motors as they’re based off the Mazda MZR motor**
